SERVE AND GROW
WORSHIP
Worship at St. Alban’s is interactive, and there are ample ways to easily participate.
CHOIR
Our choir is comprised of both professional choristers and parishioners, and those with the gift of singing are always welcome to join. The choir meets each Sunday at 9 am in the church for rehearsal. And in Advent, we take to the streets, caroling for the Newtown Square Tree Lighting!
LECTORS AND INTERCESSORS
Each Sunday, we hear lessons from the Old Testament, the Psalms, and the New Testament, and our “prayers of the people” are led by lay members from the congregation.
ALTAR GUILD
The worship is preceded and followed by the work of the Altar Guild, which sets the altar, cleans up afterward, and cares for the linens.
ACOLYTES
Acolytes assist the priest in leading the worship. They carry the cross, lead processions, and assist at the altar. Most importantly, they remind us that worship is a corporate act, requiring all of us to participate.
USHERS
Welcoming both regulars and visitors is a holy act for us at St. Alban’s. We want you to feel at home, and our ushers assist in helping everyone feel comfortable.
FLOWER GUILD
Our flowers each Sunday help tell the story of the season and Gospel lesson. Look for austere greens in Lent and a symphony of color in Eastertide.
