SERVE AND GROW
OUTREACH

“Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?”

At our baptism, we are posed this question, and we answer it with a profound yes in both word and action. At St. Alban’s, there are outreach opportunities for everyone, and our service to others runs throughout the year.

ST. ALBAN'S THRIFT SHOP

This volunteer-run thrift shop is open Tuesday through Saturday
from 10 am to 3 pm, and the rotating selection of gently-used clothing and housewares is always
worth a visit. Proceeds raised support both the church and local outreach and community service
programs.

ST. MARY'S FOOD CUPBOARD

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Chester is on the front lines of deep poverty in our community, and they answer that poverty by providing quality food and meats to nearly 100 families each week. Our volunteers collect canned goods and other items they request, and we help distribute the food in Chester twice a month.

The St. James School is a fantastic ministry of the Episcopal Church in
Philadelphia, providing an outstanding and holistic middle school education for those most in
need in West Philadelphia. Our volunteers tutor at St. James, volunteer in the library, and collect
items that the students need.

MINISTRIES OF THE EPISCOPAL DIOCESE OF JERUSALEM

The hospitals, schools, and centers for children with disabilities of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem were a particular passion of the former rector,  and many parishioners have joined him in raising money for their good work. To learn more, visit the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem.
